Art as a business
was not something we really thought about when we started our ceramics journey. In fact, the focus was just having a shared creative hobby that our entire family would enjoy. But… the problem with three potters in a household was what on earth were we going to do with all the mugs, pots, and succulant holders that we were accumulating. After all, working with clay takes practice, and not just with throwing. You need to practice all elements of the processing inculding trimming and glazing. As such, with our shelves are full and our cupboards overflowing we decided to start giving away our creations.
