Our Ceramics Journey

Clay Creations

Ceramics surround us. New or old, these fired pottery pieces will likely exist long after we’re gone. They’ll form part of the story of our material culture. Its a powerful notion to think; a ball of clay, shaped by hand, constructed and contoured into a form or vessel, may someday, hundreds of years from now, weave its own thread of human history.

The handmade ceramics from St. Lucie Inlet Pottery bring together  porcelain and stoneware clays with pleasing practical forms and artistic creations. We produce original and unique functional pottery and decorative ceramic pieces for everyone to enjoy.

Join us, the artists of St. Lucie Inlet Pottery, on our journey of ceramic discovery as we learn, experience, and grow our creative skills to make functional pottery and decorative ceramics to gift or own.

Who We Are

Sometimes you just never grow out of playing in the mud.

– Amanda De Witt

St. Lucie Inlet Pottery is a  family collective of budding ceramic artists based near the St. Lucie Inlet on Florida’s Treasure Coast.  Known as “SLIP” for short, we’re dedicated to improving our creative techniques while making interesting, unique , and creative handmade functional ceramic ware along with artistic pieces for collectors and pottery enthusiasts.

Hopefully, you’ll join us on our ceramic journey as we establish our home-studio, hone our throwing abilities, master the art of hand-building, and experiment with alternative firing techniques.
